“Liverpool are revealing plans for a victory parade even if they lose in next week’s Champions League final and miss out on the Premier League title. Klopp’s side have already won the FA Cup and the Carabao Cup.

Liverpool can complete an outstanding campaign in the next nine days with two more trophies: the Champions League and the APL trophy. Liverpool are just one point behind Manchester City on the final day of the Premier League season. A win over Wolves would secure the championship if Pep Guardiola’s side lose points against Aston Villa. Gerrard.

With the title potentially secured, Liverpool can collect a unique four titles on May 28 in Paris when they face Real Madrid in the Champions League final. But despite the fact that Klopp’s team can only finish the season with domestic cups this season, Liverpool will still hold a victory parade on 29 May.

Liverpool mayor Joan Anderson has already invited the club to take part in a victory parade in preparation for celebrating another stellar season under Klopp. After last week’s FA Cup final victory over Chelsea on penalties, the Reds will have at least two trophies to display after beating Thomas Tuchel’s side in the Carabao Cup final in February.

Thousands of fans have lined the streets of Liverpool in 2019 to celebrate their team’s victory over Tottenham in the sixth European Cup in Spain. This time the procession will start at 4pm and will feature a bus with members of Liverpool’s women’s team, who won the league title and secured promotion to the Women’s Super League. The bus will follow the same 13.5km route as the 2019 parade and will start at the Allerton Maze in the south of the city before finishing in Blundell Street.

Mayor Anderson said:

“We are delighted that we can now confirm that the club will definitely parade through the city on 29 May – and I am delighted that we will be celebrating the achievements of both the men’s and women’s teams. A huge amount of work goes on behind the scenes in preparation for an event of this scale, so it’s fantastic that the city will now be able to see it.

Lifting the FA Cup, Carabao Cup and the FA Women’s Championship trophy is an incredible achievement that deserves recognition and we really hope those won’t be the only trophies they lift on the day! Whatever the outcome of the end of season and the Champions League final, Liverpool’s men and women’s teams have already made us proud and we will give both teams the homecoming celebration they deserve.”

Sportsmail reported on Wednesday that Premier League officials will make identical presentations at the Etihad Stadium and Anfield as the race for the title goes to the wire. Premier League chief executive Richard Masters will arrive at Etihad on Sunday with the real trophy. At the same time, a copy of the trophy will be present at Anfield in case Liverpool can pull away from City and win the Premier League title.
